Electrical Workmanship Guarantee

Scope of Guarantee

Will’s Dad guarantees the workmanship of all minor electrical handyman services for a period of one (1) year from the date of service. This guarantee applies only to the labor performed and ensures that the work was completed according to industry standards at the time of service.

If any workmanship-related issue arises within the guarantee period, we will return to correct the problem at no additional labor cost.

What is Covered?

Light Fixture Replacements – Proper removal and replacement of ceiling-mounted and wall-mounted light fixtures.
Ceiling Fan Replacements – Replacing ceiling fans in existing, properly wired locations.
Outlet & Switch Replacements – Replacing existing electrical outlets, light switches, and cover plates.
Simple Electrical Fixture Replacements – Replacing items like motion-sensor lights, doorbell chimes, and under-cabinet lighting (when plugging into an existing outlet).

What is Not Covered?

Licensed Electrical Work – This guarantee does not apply to services that legally require a licensed electrician, such as panel upgrades, circuit modifications, wiring inside walls, or running new electrical circuits.
Pre-existing Electrical Issues – This includes faulty wiring, breaker trips, improper grounding, or any issue unrelated to the work performed.
Product Defects – Manufacturer defects in light fixtures, outlets, or fans are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, not this guarantee.
Customer-Provided Materials – If a customer-supplied fixture or device fails due to manufacturer defects, incorrect specifications, or poor quality, this guarantee does not apply.
Damage Caused by Others – Any damage caused by misuse, tampering, or additional work performed by another party voids this guarantee.
Code Violations in Existing Wiring – If existing wiring does not meet current electrical codes, this guarantee does not apply to any issues resulting from those conditions.

Additional Charges May Apply If:

  • Unforeseen conditions such as faulty wiring, damaged electrical boxes, or unsafe conditions require additional repairs.

  • Adjustments or modifications outside the original scope of work are requested.

  • A service call is requested for issues not related to our workmanship.

How to Make a Claim

If you experience a workmanship-related issue within the one-year guarantee period:

  1. Contact Us at william@willsdad.com or call 317-210-0827 with a description of the issue.

  2. Provide Proof of Service, such as the invoice number or date of completion.

  3. We Will Inspect the Issue to determine if it falls under this guarantee. If covered, we will repair it at no additional labor cost.

Final Notes

This guarantee applies only to labor performed by Will’s Dad. We do not modify electrical systems, install new wiring, or perform work that requires a licensed professional. This guarantee does not replace the manufacturer’s warranty on electrical products.
